We were in Cozumel a couple of months ago and ended up at Albertos for dinner. It was so amazing we went back the next night for seconds. The food was absolutely fresh and so good. The only thing better was the wait staff. We had such a great time hanging out with them. We stayed at an all inclusive resort where our food was free, and we still opted to go there two nights in a row. We are returning to Cozumel in 3 weeks and we will definately be going back!! If you are in Cozumel, a trip to Albertos is a must if you want to eat some great food, have some great drinks and a time you won't forget.
We just got back from our first trip to Mexico. A sampler type of vacation at an all inclusive in playa del carmen, then we did trips to xel ha, Tulum, and Cozumel. It was at Albertos Beach Bar we came upon the very BEST meal! Awesome food, super location viewing the ocean,super people! Awesome food again! If we were staying at Cozumel we would have stayed for a sunset dinner and some playtime for sure! Just for Albertos I would stay in Cozumel! Hurray for Albertos! from Kansas City!
We were there to have dinner but only ended up staying for a drink because no one came to our table for a a very long time. I really wanted to eat lobster near the beautiful beach but in a way I'm glad we were ignored because the music was not mexican at all. It was American and super loud! Even the people next to us did not like it. It was more of a nightclub atmosphere while people were eating dinner. If it were something softer and lower it would have been perfect. I did not like that no one came to our table and my boyfriend had to go up and get our own drinks. We were almost done with our drinks and then someone finally came to our table but we had to leave to catch the ferry. Too bad, it would have been a perfect dinner.
Has anyone gone snorkeling at Albertos? Cala is the best guy he takes you to great reefs. He gets out of the boat and shows you all the life under the sea. I would highly suggest it to everyone great price. Then when you are done eat there it will be a day you will never forget.
What happened to this place? Not kidding, some major missteps as we have eaten here for 20 plus years. Had reservations for 14 (made over Facebook) on Saturday. We arrived and they had nothing ready for us...okay, we ordered drinks and all good. Then they were out of crab, conch and lobster tails. They brought out a tray of full lobsters and 2 fish only. The whole lobsters - smallest was $90 us and I have a photo of it. That was it. No lobster tails. The staff was very polite but we were amazed at their lack of professionalism and organization. We paid for drinks and left - all 14 of us. Really sad about this as it was a trip for 14 planned for 5 years and I had bragged about Albertos. In the end, a good number of our group said they loved the setting but Lobster House in town was better food.
